about my career
Fresh out of NABA Design Academy, I landed my first role as a Technical Designer at a leading Italian Naval Interior Design company. Here, I delved into the intricate world of giant ship construction, learning to calculate weights, optimize space usage, and adhere to complex regulations. This experience laid the foundation for my deep understanding of ship design challenges and laid the groundwork for my future success.
Driven by a thirst for practical knowledge, I transitioned to an on-board Site Supervisor role. Facing the reality of construction firsthand, I honed my problem-solving skills and developed a strategic understanding of the entire build process. These invaluable lessons would have remained elusive within the confines of the design studio.
My passion for leadership and a desire to broaden my horizons led me to my current role as Superintendent of Interior & Exterior Architectural Outfitting. This journey took me from Italy to renowned shipyards in Germany and Finland, where I collaborated with diverse teams and managed multi-million euro projects. In this position, I spearheaded the successful completion of 15 projects within 10 years, exceeding client expectations and demonstrating my ability to deliver complex projects under pressure.
Through this remarkable journey, I’ve grown into a well-rounded design professional with a unique blend of technical expertise, hands-on experience, and leadership skills. I’m constantly seeking new challenges and opportunities to contribute my knowledge and passion to innovative projects.
Crafting Emotional Landscapes with Color, Light, and Nature:

Vibrant hues aren’t just decorations for me; they’re emotional brushstrokes. In a cozy Italian restaurant, warm amber shades painted on rough plaster walls evoked laughter and shared meals, instantly transporting guests to a joyful atmosphere. In a serene spa, calming greens and blues created a tranquil oasis, allowing guests to melt away stress. Each project is a unique canvas where I use color to tell a story and spark specific feelings.
Every ray of light, every flicker of shadow, holds the potential to transform a space. I treat them like characters in my design, carefully sculpting their interaction from the very beginning. Remember that modern art gallery bathed in diffused natural light, highlighting the textures and details of the paintings? Or the playful shadows cast by strategically placed lighting in a children’s playroom, encouraging imagination and exploration? Light and shadow aren’t just aesthetics; they’re silent storytellers.
Nature isn’t an afterthought; it’s an integral part of my design language. Whether it’s sunlight streaming through expansive windows, cascading greenery spilling from living walls, or the soothing sound of a water feature, I integrate natural elements to forge a deeper connection between people and their surroundings. In a recent rooftop terrace project, I utilized locally sourced wood and strategically placed planters to create a haven of tranquility amidst the urban bustle, reminding people of the power of nature amidst the concrete jungle.
I believe in designing spaces that leave a lasting impression. Grand staircases bathed in dramatic lighting, unexpected water features reflecting the sky, or carefully curated art installations – these elements aren’t just embellishments; they’re moments of magic that elevate the ordinary to the extraordinary. It’s these “WOW” moments that make a space truly unforgettable.
Building Dreams: From Planning to Execution

I’m not just organized, I’m a project ninja. Thanks to the years spent in this business I strongly improved my organization skills, and soon I’ve been able to create a very organized method that allows me to follow every project in a very detailed way and to monitor every single phase.
Construction isn’t just about blueprints; it’s about understanding the nuts and bolts. Following almost every single phase of construction from the drawing to the complete installation on site, I now have a deep knowledge of the process and each construction phase. It also refined my skills and understanding of materials and application procedures.
Management isn’t just about barking orders; it’s about finding win-win solutions. In some phases I had the opportunity to manage in total autonomy, giving me the full understanding of what the project meant overall. It was clear from the beginning that the ability to find solutions and compromises with time and money was everything!
Working as a site manager means also knowing every single detail of the construction process, which gives you the ability to coordinate works, materials and people, and to forecast the upcoming challenges and the possible issues that could arise during the project.
During these work experiences I had the pleasure to lead various Team, all made of amazing people, helping me to follow from close, the various areas of the project. I had the chance to experience being part of a great Team many times, sharing gratifications and responsibilities, knowing that everyone has something to give as additional value.
a new start..
I believe this Shipbuilding experience contributed a lot to define who I am today. It gave me the chance to grow up as person and to put together my professional skills.
By the years I collected experiences and knowledge which now would like to evolve in something more personal and challenging, I should push myself more towards an independent project, so now it’s time for a new start!
Thanks to the evolution of my career, I now feel the time has come to start a new challenge, a new incredible phase and project of life: Design for You!
